- PDF files must have fonts & images embedded. All lenses, transparencies, and drop shadows MUST be compressed to a high-resolution bitmap before the file is exported as a PDF
- CorelDraw files must have all fonts converted to curves
- JPG files must be at least 400dpi
- Avoid using small text (below 7pt) that is made up of more than one process colour
- Avoid using small text (below 7pt) that is white, reversed out of a background that is made up of more than one process colour
- Text, Images, Logos etc. must be at least 2mm away from the edge of the design or page
- MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel and other MS office files are RGB based and not suitable for large-format printing, however they can be used. Please note that these files will also be converted to CMYK colours.
- Canva is not a recommended design program when going to large-format print. Hoewever, if this is unavoidable please supply the files as a high-resolution JPG (minimum 400dpi).
Most issues that occur when printing, are normally related to artwork supplied incorrectly or files not being saved properly. Please note that our printers are CMYK based, while most digital design platforms are RGB based, which may cause problems when printing. Please ensure that all artwork submitted meets the above requirements, if not, THE ARTWORK WILL NOT BE PRINTED CORRECTLY! ViRi Digital (Pty) Ltd shall not be held responsible for any print errors caused by files that have been incorrectly saved or any artwork that does not meet the above requirements.
